Charlie Kirk 1993-2025
Today is Thursday, September 11, 2025. On this day in 2001 were the attacks upon the buildings in NY and Washington that caused the deaths of about 3,000 people. Nearly 22 years later, president John F. Kennedy fell to assassin’s bullets in a motorcade in Dallas, Texas on November 23, 1963. As of yesterday, September 10, 2025, the world has now seen the assassination of Charlie Kirk at an open outdoor meeting in Utah. These are days that will [as FDR once said about the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on December 7, 1941] also live in infamy. But there is a very real and important difference between these four events, as we shall see.

The Japanese attack on the American Pacific fleet anchored in Pearl Harbor was an extension of Japan’s war in Asia. America posed a potential threat to their imperial ambitions.

The assassination of president Kennedy in 1963, while originally asserted to have been the work of a lone gunman [Lee Harvey Oswald], seems to have had far more despicable roots according to recently released top secret materials. It is almost certain that Kennedy was killed by dark forces within the American government, bringing about a coup d’etat, opening the way for a new president [Lyndon Johnson].

The attacks on 9/11, 2001 in New York and Washington resulted from dark forces [either American or otherwise] who benefitted from the attacks.

Whatever position one may hold regarding the forces at work behind these events, it is safe to say that they were politically [or culturally] motivated.

But the killing of Charlie Kirk was something different at its root. It was not some mindless distant thing that we may just leave to historians to sort out. Charlie’s life and death are part of something far more insidious. In Genesis 3:15 God revealed to us that true conflict [that results in darkness and death constantly] lies in the God-ordained enmity between two very different seed-lines.
"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."
In this statement, God has once-and-for-all identified the true underlying nature of all conflict between human beings. All human beings come into this world aligned with the Enemy of light, righteousness and God. Some among this fallen race eventually come to the place of aligning, by faith, with God in all of His light and righteousness. Those that do so become fully aligned with God’s ‘Second Man,’ the Lord Jesus Christ. They literally switch families as it were!

This underlying reality sheds the full light of Truth upon all of these events. Whatever else anyone may speculate about the roots of each of these events, it is clear that this great conflict clarifies them all. But, even having said that, there is even greater light to be shed upon the killing of Charlie Kirk, as we have suggested. In order to put this into perspective, consider the following passage of Scripture.
9And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

"10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow-servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled."
Revelation 6:9-11
The one element missing in all of the other events we have considered, but in the very forefront of the killing of Charlie Kirk is that Charlie Kirk was a bold, outspoken Christian. His testimony regarding Christ was not at all like that of many [if not most] celebrity testimonials. An athlete may ‘thank Jesus’ for enabling him/her to excel in a sport. It costs him/her nothing, really, other than a few sidewise glances and talking behind their hands among his fellow athletes. The same thing holds true, to a large extent among other kinds of celebrities, whether musicians, actors, or whatever else makes them famous.

But with Charlie it was very different. His entire life work was centered in Christ. His very public testimony was not ‘for the cameras;’ it was clear to everyone that encountered him that his entire life was gladly given over to Christ. His faith in Christ shaped his political stances, along with everything else in his very public life.
It is for this reason that I emphatically believe that the Enemy wanted Charlie’s voice silenced. Whoever was humanly behind his killing, it was the Enemy that engineered it. Charlie’s testimony to the reality of Who Jesus Christ actually is simply could not be tolerated.

But all genuine Christians may rejoice in the FACT that Charlie’s voice has NOT been silenced. In our passage from Revelation above we see that his voice is being heard before God. He, along with countless others who have been martyred for their testimony for Christ, now continually

"…[cry] with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?"
Charlie, like so many others throughout human history…
were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held.
May it be so for many others as the days go by leading to the coming of the Lord! Charlie will certainly not be the last Christian martyr in America, and elsewhere.

"…it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow-servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled."
We, as Christians [in America especially] have grown accustomed to never giving any serious thought to martyrdom for Christ. But as we have so plainly now seen, it is NOT coming some day; it is here.

Hallelujah, for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth!
